A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond

 I bought this book at Thriftbooks (probably also available at other sites and locations but this is where I acquired my copy). I had gotten enough points for a free book and I chose this one. I believe Thriftbooks sells used books (the used ones I get there are usually in great shape and the prices are very good; in my opinion). 



        It is a simple easy to read book. Just because it is for the youth doesn't mean those who are 'young at heart' cannot read it. Since I am in the 'young at heart' category, I read it. I not only read it but also enjoyed it too. 
        It shows the origins of Paddington and how he came about to be part of the family he is with. I believe it is from the perspective of a family member that we know of Paddington's adventure. He has a few in the book. 
        It seems to be the first in many Paddington Bear's book. I think they could be worth reading. I will be ordering others and reading them in the future. This is my first one with many more to come in the future with blogs about them too. 



        This is the back of the book. It has information on the book. This information could be used to find a copy of this book. One could probably find both the pbook and ebook versions online.

Tortola - Fantasy Banknotes

  Currently I am into fantasy banknotes; especially ones with a picture of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd on them (it would be neat to see some with Lady Di on them but have not found them, yet). I found these on eBay with the search words ' fantasy banknotes ' (some of them were kind of 'revealing').  This one is Tortola . I thought it was made up but it seems it does exist. Book On George Washington Carver By Tonya Bolden

          I found a book on the life of George Washington Carver  (Wikipedia link). It was not overly detailed but it does talk about his life and accomplishments. I think there are some really nice illustrations and photos in it.           I think it is great for those who want to learn about George Washington Carver but might not have a lot of time to read about him or just have a passing interest in him.           It was an easy read and it was also informative. It could lead someone to read more about him. Barbuda - Fantasy Banknotes

  I think that I might have gotten carried away; especially on fantasy banknotes that have a picture of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd on them. I have found some like this on eBay .  One of these are the Barbuda fantasy banknotes. I think they are really cool looking and look so real; like European ones that they have now. I thought it was a place that didn't exist but it seems that it does; Barbuda . I do not know if they have their own money but it would be cool if it looked like this.  I think it looks really neat. I like how it has a picture of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd on them. It is one of the reasons I got them. I think this is the front of them.  I believe this is the bank of them.
