Jurassic Bank?

Image
I came across something on eBay that was neat and funny and cute. It was Jurassic Bank banknotes. The unit of money was called a Dino. They have pictures of dinosaurs on them; some with flesh and some just bones. I was able to get a whole set for a very low price. I think there are others at eBay . Jurassic Bank banknotes on eBay (search results).  I think they are very well done. I think they are also very colorful and would be neat to collect. I was lucky to get a whole set of them for a low price.  I have found a couple of other sites that have them too (below). Jurassic Bank banknotes at Currency Banknotes . Jurassic Bank banknotes at Colnect .  TomLeeM 2024 / 01 / 29 TomLeeM at Cafe Press .

Thriftbooks Online Bookstore?

Image
I have found an online bookstore that sells used books. I think I saw either a group on it or an ad for it on Facebook.  It is called Thriftbooks .  I have found the prices there to be quite good. I found it less expensive that other places. I am not sure if it is because they are used books but the prices - in my opinion - are great.  The books are used but it shows if they are in good condition or not. I have them mostly in great shape with some with very slight damage. Of the books I have ordered, they are usually in great shape.  I have found that one can choose from either hard cover or soft cover. I like the hard cover but that isn't always an option. I think it is because they might not have it available in hard cover. The price varies depending on the cover and condition of the book. I have found that they have a huge variety of books at the site. I have checked with many ones that I have searched for. I have found many that I looked for. It was rare that they did not hav

A Boy And The Heron?

Image
A Boy And The Heron My brother and I went to the Screening Room in Newburyport MA to see a movie titled A Boy And The Heron. The Screening Room is a very small - perhaps tiny - theater in downtown Newburyport MA . It only has one screen. The theater does not hold many people. I think the person who sells the tickets and food also runs the projector. It is a cozy little place. I don't normally go there because of the type of movies they usually show but this was one of the exceptions. I thought the movie was different but still vey good. We saw the one with English dubbed in. I believe they also showed one where there were English subtitles. I thought the movie was well done. I liked the animation. It was done very well. I liked the storyline. I thought it was really well done.  I think it is a movie that the whole would enjoy even though some of the younger viewers might not understand everything in it.  TomLeeM 2024 / 01 / 13

A Haunting In Venice; Book vs Movie?

Image
Haunting in Venice movie poster Wikipedia - A Haunting in Venice I finished reading the book A Haunting in Venice by Agatha Christie (the book was originally called Halloween). I saw the movie by the same name. I compared the two. The book is way different from the movie. The book was a mystery. The movie was a horror mystery. There were things in the movie that wasn't in the movie. There were things in the movie that wasn't in the book. I preferred the book over the movie. I think the book should have kept the name Halloween and not be changed. The movie was based very loosely on the book. The book was really good but the movie was so-so. this is a photo of the book I bought from the Jabberwocky Bookshop at the Tannery Marketplace in Newburyport MA The book was a murder mystery. I think it would is what Agatha Christie would have written. I don't think she would have written the movie version; in my opinion. The book was originally Halloween. They should never have cha
