Amerigaza or Amergaza? Temporary Renaming And Temporary New Flag?


 AMERIGAZA? 

Ever since Trump talked about 'taking over Gaza' and 'rebuilding it' (I am not sure if he was serious or just trying to get some people motivated). I thought it would or could use a new flag - even if it is just a temporary one. I read that someone came up with the name Amerigaza (Amergaza is my variant on the name) and I used it as the new temporary name for that area. 


I created one with elements of the United States of America and elements of Israel. One can see both in the design. Both have blue and white in the flags and I added the red from the US flag to combine them / make it a hybrid. 



It has the general format of the Israel flag with elements from symbols that was USAF fighter planes. I added the red and white bars from the USA flag. I added blue to the Star of David from the blue part of the American flag. 


I doubt it would ever be used but it was - on my part - an exercise in creativity. I like to design things; most of which never get made but the joy is trying to create a design. 


It was not intended to be political but just being creative. If 'push comes to shove', my support would lean more toward Israel than Palestine but it is definitely for the United States of America. 


I have also read that there are parts of Gaza / Palestine that has not been damaged by war and still livable. It would be great if all of it went back to being livable and live in peace with Israel.

A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond

  I bought this book at Thriftbooks (probably also available at other sites and locations but this is where I acquired my copy). I had gotten enough points for a free book and I chose this one. I believe Thriftbooks sells used books (the used ones I get there are usually in great shape and the prices are very good; in my opinion).            It is a simple easy to read book. Just because it is for the youth doesn't mean those who are 'young at heart' cannot read it. Since I am in the 'young at heart' category, I read it. I not only read it but also enjoyed it too.           It shows the origins of Paddington and how he came about to be part of the family he is with. I believe it is from the perspective of a family member that we know of Paddington's adventure. He has a few in the book.           It seems to be the first in many Paddington Bear's book. I think they could be worth reading....

The Little Book Of Mushrooms

          I found this book for sale at a Five Below store. I don't normally think of books when I go there but they had quite a few there; this being one of them. It did not cost a lot of money. I do not know if they still have them at their store or at their website. I am glad I bought it when I did.           I have found this to be quite informative and the illustrations to be done quite well. I have learned a lot from reading this book. It might not be an in depth book on mushrooms but it does provide quite a lot of information on mushrooms.           Even the back of the book is really nice and colorful. I have learned a lot about mushrooms; which ones are edible, which ones are inedible, ones that can make you sick and others that are toxic.
