The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh; A Classic Disney Treasury

Image
I bought this book since it is Winnie the Pooh and it is from Disney. I wanted to read a Winnie the Pooh book and have found a few of them; this is one of them.  The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh; A Classic Disney Treasury I have found it to be well written and well illustrated. I really enjoyed reading it. The illustrations are like the ones in the movie on Winnie the Pooh. I have noticed it is different from another Winnie the Pooh book; one that has the complete tales. It seems this is the Disney version of the book; slightly different than the complete book. It is not different in a bad way but different in a good way.  I think one doesn't have to be young to enjoy this book (and others on Winnie the Pooh). I think it can be enjoyed by those of all ages.  Here is the back of the book. There doesn't seem to be much information on it.  I bought it from the Thriftbooks site. It was quite affordable. Since they sell used books; they might not have another copy....

The Constitution of the United States of America and Other Founding Documents.

The Constitution of the United States and Other Founding Documents.            I found this book in an unique location. I found it at a Five Below store among other books. It was really affordable. I think it was made quite well.          It is not a huge book. It would not take long to read it through. I think it is a very informative book even for its small size. I think every American should read it. Reading it would give everyone an idea of what is and isn't in it. I also find the other documents that was included to be very informative too.            I am amazed that the back is so plain. I think it adds to its elegance. I like that it is a hard back book. It might not be an expensive hard back but one would not expect it to be for the price I paid for it.  Here are some places that have it; Five Below - not sure if the stores still has it or not. Amazon - they have simila...

A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond

Image
I bought this book at Thriftbooks (probably also available at other sites and locations but this is where I acquired my copy). I had gotten enough points for a free book and I chose this one. I believe Thriftbooks sells used books (the used ones I get there are usually in great shape and the prices are very good; in my opinion).            It is a simple easy to read book. Just because it is for the youth doesn't mean those who are 'young at heart' cannot read it. Since I am in the 'young at heart' category, I read it. I not only read it but also enjoyed it too.           It shows the origins of Paddington and how he came about to be part of the family he is with. I believe it is from the perspective of a family member that we know of Paddington's adventure. He has a few in the book.           It seems to be the first in many Paddington Bear's book. I think they could be worth reading....

The Little Book Of Mushrooms

Image
I found this book for sale at a Five Below store. I don't normally think of books when I go there but they had quite a few there; this being one of them. It did not cost a lot of money. I do not know if they still have them at their store or at their website. I am glad I bought it when I did.           I have found this to be quite informative and the illustrations to be done quite well. I have learned a lot from reading this book. It might not be an in depth book on mushrooms but it does provide quite a lot of information on mushrooms.           Even the back of the book is really nice and colorful. I have learned a lot about mushrooms; which ones are edible, which ones are inedible, ones that can make you sick and others that are toxic. One should read this book to know that not all mushrooms (most of which aren't) are edible.  The Duck Duck Go search results for The Little Book o...

Pitcairn Fantasy Banknotes - from eBay.

Image
I found some cool looking fantasy banknotes on eBay for Pitcairn. I think they are really neat looking and very well done. It feels like real money.          It was up for auction / sold by Banknotes Stamps Coins  (they have other things for sale / up for bids - which includes the fantasy banknotes for Pitcairn) on eBay.          I believe Pitcairn is an island that is in a remote location. Wikipedia - Pitcairn . I don't believe they have their own money but if it did, it should look like the above (which is cool - in my opinion).          Pitcairn Islands on Banknote World . It seems they don't have their own currency.  Pitcairn Islands banknotes are collectible ? (interesting article - by World Banknotes Catalogue ).          Perhaps there was a Pitcairn Islands banknote? Here is a link to an article at Numista that...
