My New To Me Jeep Liberty

Image
I traded in my old car. It had just over 109,000 miles on it. The company that made my old car no longer sells their cars in the USA anymore. The few years before they left, they sold only electric cars. It was getting expensive to repair. The vehicle that I replaced it with is a 2005 Jeep Liberty. It had just over 136,000 miles on it. I really like it. It has 4wd but one can shift to just 2wd. It can seat 5 people (old car only seated 2). One can carry a lot more than just the 5 people. Since it is bigger, it has a bigger hitch which means it can tow a lot more. I am looking to see what I can tow with it.  It is supposed to be brown but it is not seem to be the kind of brown that I was thinking of . I like it having four doors instead of just two. It is easier to get into and out of the back seat via the back doors instead of getting into the back seats via the front seats; like on some cars with two doors and a back seat.  This is the inside. The seats are really comfo...

In Support Of MyPillow And The MyPillow Guy

Image
I have read that the MyPillow guy is being harassed and his pillows - MyPillow - is removed from some stores because of his support of Donald Trump. I think it is wrong to remove his products from stores just because he supports someone who they don't support; some of these anti-Trump people go as far as to hate him (which I find odd since he has done a lot for this country). To remove his company products from their stores is their way of trying to censure or block someone they disagree with. I believe this goes against a person's freedom of rights; the one that is the freedom of speech.  I have signed up for discount codes for MyPillow products. There are a lot of them and one can get the products at a great discount. I get them texted to me with the discount code and a link to the site to order. I will be ordering pillows and sheets since they are at a really good price. MyPillow The above is a link to their site.  This is just a short blog in support of the MyPill...

The Wonder Woman 1984 at The Cinemagic Theater in Salisbury / Amesbury MA

Image
It has been quite awhile. Because of the covid-19 situation, the theaters had been closed. It wasn't till just recently that one could go to a movie theater. In some states, the theaters are opening sooner than others. Some theaters are still not open.  One of the lucky ones is the Cinemagic theaters. Some open sooner than others. Cinemagic had announced that all their theaters would be opened on a certain date. When we went to see the movie Wonder Woman 1984, they had been open for a few days.  My brother and I wanted to go see Wonder Women 1984. I think it was a better experience than watching it at home. We got to see the movie at Cinemagic in Salisbury MA. As part of the experience, I ordered the largest container of popcorn and the largest diet soda. It was a lot of popcorn. It was a lot of soda. I ate almost all the popcorn and all of the soda. Needless to say, I had to use the restroom after the movie. I wanted to see the movie despite so many saying it was a bad ...

Christmas Tree Bonfire at the Pierce Little Farm / Old Newbury Museum

Image
I have been going to this Christmas Tree Bonfire. It has been held at the Pierce Little Farm in Newbury MA.   It is really nice. There are different vendors there; some food. There is a DJ playing music. There was a hay ride too.  One year it was nice out but usually it is very cold. I am glad I dressed warm for the event. I would rather be too warm than not warm enough.  This was January 18, 2020 (IIRC on the date).  It was toasty warm near the bonfire.  Here I am near the bonfire. I am facing away from the bonfire so I can take a selfie with it but also since it was a little too warm for my face but okay for my back. Here is my selfie with Jerry - my brother - in the background. Here is a close up of the bonfire.  There was a trailer being towed by a tractor. They were giving people rides. Botanical Gardens in Washington DC.

Image
This is the United States Botanical Gardens in Washington DC. My brother and I toured it. It was free to go in. Unfortunately there were a couple of areas that was closed but most of it was open. It was really neat going through it. I took photos. The photos are posted below.  It was rainy out and it was nice to get out of the rain. It had been snowing - which is why one of the museums we went to had closed early. There was a lot of different climates represented in the green house. It was neat going from one climate zone to another.  This is the entrance.  This is the hallway that led to the different parts. Here is another part of the hallway. It seemed there was a photo shoot doing on while we were at the gardens.  I think this was an orchid. It is beautiful.  I really liked this water feature. It looked nice. I think this guy was neat.  Tho...
