Botanical Gardens in Washington DC.

This is the United States Botanical Gardens in Washington DC. My brother and I toured it. It was free to go in. Unfortunately there were a couple of areas that was closed but most of it was open. It was really neat going through it. I took photos. The photos are posted below. 

It was rainy out and it was nice to get out of the rain. It had been snowing - which is why one of the museums we went to had closed early.

There was a lot of different climates represented in the green house. It was neat going from one climate zone to another.

It seemed there was a photo shoot doing on while we were at the gardens. 


I think this was an orchid. It is beautiful.




 I really liked this water feature. It looked nice.






I think this guy was neat.

Tortola - Fantasy Banknotes

  Currently I am into fantasy banknotes; especially ones with a picture of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd on them (it would be neat to see some with Lady Di on them but have not found them, yet). I found these on eBay with the search words ' fantasy banknotes ' (some of them were kind of 'revealing').  This one is Tortola . I thought it was made up but it seems it does exist. I don't know if they have their own banknotes but it would be cool if they looked like these. I think these look and feel like current European banknotes. I think they are really well done. Book On George Washington Carver By Tonya Bolden

          I found a book on the life of George Washington Carver  (Wikipedia link). It was not overly detailed but it does talk about his life and accomplishments. I think there are some really nice illustrations and photos in it.           I think it is great for those who want to learn about George Washington Carver but might not have a lot of time to read about him or just have a passing interest in him.           It was an easy read and it was also informative. It could lead someone to read more about him. Barbuda - Fantasy Banknotes

  I think that I might have gotten carried away; especially on fantasy banknotes that have a picture of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd on them. I have found some like this on eBay .  One of these are the Barbuda fantasy banknotes. I think they are really cool looking and look so real; like European ones that they have now. I thought it was a place that didn't exist but it seems that it does; Barbuda . I do not know if they have their own money but it would be cool if it looked like this.  I think it looks really neat. I like how it has a picture of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd on them. It is one of the reasons I got them. I think this is the front of them.  I believe this is the bank of them.
